Parent Payments

Family financial contributions are essential in maintaining the quality of Newham Primary School’s wide-ranging academic and co-curricular programs for students. The School Council is conscious of the cost to parents of service and facilities provided by the school and we aim to keep the charges to a minimum.
We have provided an explanation of these charges to help you understand the costs we incur in providing you child’s education. Please see the individual year level fee schedules for 2021 below:
Financial Assistance for Families
Newham Primary School offers a range of flexible payment options and assistance programs to all families to help with the cost of essential and optional educational items.

CSEF
Parents/guardians that hold a valid, means-tested health care card are eligible to receive the Department's CSEF funding.
An annual payment of $125.00 per student will be placed on the eligible family's school account to help pay for any
Camps, Excursions or Sporting activities.

Conveyance Allowance
Families in rural and regional Victoria may be eligible for conveyance allowance - assistance from the department to help with the cost of transporting students to school.
To be eligible students must:
-
attend their nearest government or non-government school/campus appropriate to their year level at which admission is permissible
-
be enrolled at a school/campus outside Melbourne’s metropolitan conveyance boundary
-
live 4.8km or more by the shortest practicable route from that school/campus attended
-
be of school age at the time of application, and reside in Victoria.

State School's Relief
SSR is an autonomous, charitable organisation that assists students experiencing short term crisis and long term chronic needs attending government schools in Victoria with school clothing, footwear, textbooks and other essential items.
Prep families who are eligible for CSEF are automatically eligible to receive the
Prep Uniform Package
which comprises of a jumper/jacket, pants & school shoes.
